

A Fair Fight?
Big budget, high profile films like SUPERGIRL now face a problem such films have never faced in the past. It’s called YouTube. If you released a blockbuster 20 years ago, sure, word of mouth spread fast via text and voice, and that would affect the film’s performance. 40 years ago, word would have spread face to face and via voice over static phone lines. If the film was bad, it would have not been negatively affected by word of mouth anywhere near as quickly as 20 years ago,


AI = DOA
To examine the shortcoming or excellence of AI as a way to create film and story plots that work, I instructed an AI synopsis generator to create a storyline for me. The story synopsis at the top, below, is what the bot came up with. The synopsis under it is my version of it. Take a look at what I have done and ask why, and why it works to improve the AI synopsis. What's different? Do we see here one of the many reasons why so many bad stories get told in film and otherwise.
